The pedagogy that I will be following is an incorporation of direct instruction where I will direct the students through step- by-step skills of lecturing, didactic questioning (active and stimulating q&a with students), and demonstration of knowledge. Along with direct instruction, I would incorporate experiential learning, a community that will foster learners to learn in, guided discovery, as well as inductive learning. It is important for children to experiment with what they find during research (guided discovery) on the state that they choose, as well as students to be able to learn on their own(inductive learning) after the instruction is given. Websites, as well as web videos, will be provided as further support. With it, I hope that students will learn skills to be independent advocates of their own project and learning that is taking place.

Substitution: Computer technology is used to perform the same task as was done before the use of computers.

Students will be asked to digitally fill in the names of all fifty states on an app versus paper and pencil.

Augmentation: Computer Technology offers an effective tool to perform common tasks.

Students will be asked to use the computer to find credible resources for report, as well as a website to do presentation with audio. Audio does not have to be in students voice, depending on situation; however, content of project and the work put into the project must be the students work.

Modification: This is the first step over the line between enhancing the traditional goings-on of the classroom and transforming the classroom. Common classroom tasks are being accomplished through the use of computer technology.

Students will be using their ipad and computer for the assignment. Teachers would be monitoring their work load both online, and in person in class. Students are also asked to use teacher’s website demo as reference to what is asked for them to do.
